We both grew up with fish and chips as our favourite meal & both of us worked in a chippy when we were younger. After successful careers in building & eCommerce, we agreed that we were ready for a change and the idea of starting a mobile fish and chip business began to gather momentum.
We decided that we would cook chips in the traditional way with freshly-cut chips from the best potato merchants & the best Icelandic cod available.
After connecting with the best in the business, we underwent weeks of training until we felt confident that we were serving food that we were proud of but also, at a timely pace. We are now working towards becoming the best Wirral fish and chip shop.
Our plans for the future include a second vehicle offering a gluten-free menu and in time, a high street shop.

Organised by Seafish – a Non-Departmental Public Body set up to improve efficiency and raise standards across the seafood industry – the National Fish & Chip Awards is an annual competition celebrating ‘excellence’ in the UK’s fish and chip industry.
We will now go head-to-head against Fish & Frites from Fife and The English Indian in Staffordshire at the National Fish & Chip Awards ceremony in London on January 23, 2020 where we will find out if we have been crowned the overall winner.
